Music curating

With experience from intimate wedding proposals to civil and church ceremonies big and small, and from living room concerts to extensive events, I can advise about music choices and timings and cater to specific needs.
A variety of music styles and combinations are listed below. I’m flexible, easy-going and open to new ideas to jazz up your event!

Planning & Logistics

Transport: Harpists are mostly self-sufficient and bring their own kit in their own car. Loading & parking space nearby is of the essence.
Upstairs? Elevators are nice, but a small amount of steps/stairs is usually doable.
Outdoors? Musical instruments are precious. Most outdoor events will be possible, but shelter from bright sun and any rain is important, and weather clauses may be required.

Artists & Instruments

Harp solo is great for any occasion. I will serve it up with grace and cadence, tailored for the atmosphere and mood.
Instruments
The gallery below shows my ‘family of harps’. The black grand concert harp is my go to instrument for events, unless you specifically request the lovely Irish folk harp or the funky blue electric, and if the desired repertoire permits.
The acoustic models can be modestly or fully amplified according to the music style, venue and size of the event.
Music style
If you give me free rein, you and your guests will be in for an original musical treat, with an exceptionally jazzy twist, whilst maintaining the character of your event. Rather have classical, blues or Bollywood? I can take care of that too!

I’ll add some exquisite and groovy harp parts to whatever my excellent DJ colleague, Cristopher Michelagnoli, offers to get the mood right and the feet off the ground! This is definitely the most classy DJ + instrumentalist option around.
Instruments & equipment
Whether I bring my graceful grand concert harp, or the funky blue electric with some added sound processing, your choice of entertainment will be a true highlight. A DJ booth and PA system will need to be present or rented. We can supply you with the necessary info and contacts, or arrange it for you.

I invite you to consider booking me in combination with one of my talented colleagues on:

Harp – doubling the amount of strings & glamour.
Violin or cello – lending a lyrical or even groovy voice to both classical and jazz/improv.
Bass – making jazz or blues totally groove (electric or double bass)
Tabla – adding an incredible drive to Bollywood and jazz & free improv.
Voice – capturing attention with lyrics and unique timbre.

Better yet, get a full jazz trio, a quartet, or bigger band to play for you! Feel free to ask, or suggest any adventurous instruments of your choice, and we will see what suits your event and budget best.
