Two books of original blues harp tunes will be published this Fall, one for lever and one for pedal harp. The pieces contain key elements of distinctive blues styles and features of tunes by the greats. Some are guitar inspired, some piano influenced; all are fully intended to create a blues sound specifically for the harp!

My blues-for-the-harp method is in the making. It will serve up bass, comping and melody in various styles, including improv & transcription exercises, chord & scale learning, studies, a glossary of patterns/intro’s/endings, and more.

My earliest tune, ‘Bregar’s Guitarp’ is included in the Trinity repertoire list for Grade 6 lever harp. It is one of 15 pieces published in the UKHA Wild Strings Jazz & Pop Harp Collection 2018. The book can be purchased from PoppyHarp as a hard copy or as a download.
